Ouzoud Falls with Hike, Boat Ride and Lunch: Which Option You Actually Book

The day trip to the Ouzoud Falls with a hike, boat ride and lunch (ID 388884) has 39,253 reviews and 4.6 stars in our inventory. Only one tour from Marrakesh has more: the Agafay tour with quad, camel and dinner show. In the inventory, 388884 is listed from €15.47 at eleven to twelve hours. According to the booking page, the operator is Ando Travel Ltd.
The title promises three things. Whether you get them depends on which of four options you choose. That is stated on the booking page, which we read on 10 September 2026, only in the section with notes before booking. For this tour, it is the most important paragraph.
Four options, three different tours
According to the operator, there are guided, self-guided and private variants, four options in total. The inclusions differ as follows:

Without an option noted, the list of inclusions covers the air-conditioned minibus with Wi-Fi, a driver who is also the guide, and free time at the falls. Drinks and water, according to the page, are not included.
The €15.47 in our inventory is a starting price, the cheapest entry point. Which inclusions stand behind it only becomes clear once you select the option. So compare the final price of the variant you actually want, not the starting price.
With Option 2, according to the operator, a mountain guide and boat can usually be added on site, subject to availability. Anyone who wants the boat for certain should book an option where it is included.
How the day unfolds
According to the operator, pickup is around 7.30–8am at your hotel or riad. If your accommodation is in a part of the medina the vehicle cannot reach, a meeting point five to ten minutes’ walk away is arranged. The exact detail is on the voucher. There is a 25-minute coffee stop along the way, and four hours are scheduled at the falls.
The guided round begins with the first view of the falls and the pool beneath them. It then continues through shady olive groves, with a stop at a women’s cooperative for argan oil, down to a viewpoint with fresh orange juice. Below, a traditional boat runs a short loop at the foot of the falls. Lunch follows in a restaurant overlooking the cascades. In the afternoon, you walk back up the valley to the bus.

Lunch: the point that causes the most trouble
With Options 1 and 2, the meal is explicitly optional and paid in cash on site. The operator states €12 to 13. A review from September 2026 claims that the restaurant the guide leads you to is twice as expensive as the one across from it. That is a single voice, not a finding. But it shows where a glance at the menu is worth it before you sit down.
Anyone who would rather not think about on-site prices at all should take Option 3 or the private variant, where the meal is included in the price. Vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free is possible, according to the operator. Bring cash in any case for drinks and small purchases.
The monkeys
Barbary macaques live at the falls, and the description advertises the chance to watch them. The same operator explicitly asks, in its notes, that you keep your distance. They are wild animals, not photo props to touch.
The two alternatives alongside it

496340 is the cheapest entry point and has the highest star rating of the three. Here too, though: according to the page, a mountain guide and boat are only included if the corresponding option or add-on is chosen. The schedule states an hour and a half’s drive to a stop, a further hour to the falls, and three and a half hours there. Free time for a swim in the natural pools is explicitly mentioned.
56037 is the shortest of the three. According to the operator, pickup is at 8am at your hotel or riad, with a guide speaking French, Spanish or English. Lunch is not included; the operator states about €10 in cash. Whether the boat ride is included in the price is not made clear on the page. Ask before booking. A review warns of a lot of walking up and down.
Who this tour is not for

Anyone who struggles on foot. The path leads down to the falls and, in the afternoon, back up to the bus. With the self-guided option, the mountain guide on site is also missing.
Anyone who wants the cheapest price and then wants everything. With Option 2 and lunch on site, plus a boat and guide added afterwards, you may well end up where Option 3 would have been from the start, only with less certainty.
Our verdict
388884 is a solid day trip with a clearly described schedule, but not every option delivers what the name promises. Anyone who wants a guide and boat, and wants to stay free on the meal, should take Option 1. Anyone who wants everything paid upfront should take Option 3.
